Karim Marouny

In 2016, Marouny moved to the Arabian Gulf, practicing both in Kuwait and UAE. This experience expanded his legal acquaintance and ability to new horizons, particularly when it comes in maritime law.
Marouny rejoined our firm in 2023 as a leading member of our maritime department, extending his extensive experience within the maritime and shipping legal communities across the region.
Karim Marouny joined the firm in 2008 as a legal correspondent to various Protection and Indemnity [P&I] clubs, after graduating University of Alexandria, Faculty of Law in 2006. With that experience Marouny succeeded in gaining knowledge of how to best handle maritime disputes, cargo claims, charter party and bill of lading disputes, ship arrests, collisions, grounding and pollution incidents.
He has handled several customs claims, containers disputes-- either against or on behalf of terminals. Over the years, Marouny’s experience increased to encompass cases regarding inland transportation, aviation claims, insurance and multi-module transport disputes.
